Joye - 1967 QCA Pressing

Dating records pressed at the QCA plant in Cincinnati is fairly easy, however there are some inconsistencies in how they handled their dating system from decade to decade. Records pressed in the 1960's have a 5 or 6 digit matrix number followed by QCA.

The five or six digits represent the following:

1st Digit:
2nd & 3rd Digits:
4th, 5th or 6th Digits:

Year (7 = 1967, 8 = 1968, etc.)
Month (07 = July, 11 = November, etc.)
Sequence of records pressed that month
    (64 = 64th record pressed that month)

In the 1970's, they went to a 6 or 7 digit matrix number (sometimes hyphenated before the last 2 digits) that worked in a similar manner with the last 3 or 4 digits reserved to indicated the quantity of records pressed up to that point each month.
